Sophisticatedly Green Sunday Challenge

I am going to start a Sophisticatedly Green Challenge every week. In these posts, I am going to give all of us a green challenge for the week. This could be something that will save energy, limit or save waste, something good for the environment, or something that will save your family money. I would love suggestions and feedback!

This week's challenge is to unplug all electronic devices in your home that are not being used. This means when you finish toasting your delicious flax waffle for your little one in the morning, unplug the toaster. After you blow dry, straighten or curl your hair, unplug your styling device. Or, when you are done charging your cell phone, take the charger out of the outlet. Not only will this cut down on the amount of energy your household is using, it will save you green on your electric bill! Plus, there is always a risk of a fire when you leave appliances plugged in. Ultimately, this small challenge will keep your sophisticatedly green home safe, environmentally green, and it will help you keep the "green" in your home!
We would love to hear stories about how you do with this challenge throughout the week! Whether you succeed for a day or if you are able to create a new habit share your story with the SGM community. And, most importantly, have a sophisticatedly green week!
