Let's talk reward cards, today. You know, the supermarket, drugstore, bookstore, restaurant frequent buyer cards that earn you points or rewards. I have been on the hunt for a good deal on a new cell phone. Well, it was looking like I was going to have to pay the price listed on verizonwireless.com. Those prices are good; but I really thought I could do better. This morning, I opened my email to find a list of savings I am eligible for through my Borders Rewards card. Lo and behold, there are amazing savings listed on Blackberry phones! It tells you what phones are available for each wireless network.
There are four Blackberry phones listed for Verizon. The first two are the Blackberry Storm Pink and the Blackberry Pearl Flip. Currently, with savings, the Storm is listed for $49.99 and the Pearl is listed for $79.99 on Verizon's site. Through the Border's Rewards program, both phones are FREE!! You can't beat that! For the more selective phone user, there is the Blackberry Storm (Verizon's only touch screen blackberry). This phone retails for $199.99, it is currently on sale for $99.99 on Verizon's website. Through the Rewards program, the Storm is available for $29.99 - basically, a $170 savings! And, for the phone user who always wants the latest and greatest, there is the Blackberry Tour (Verizon's newest Blackberry phone). Are you ready to hear these savings?!.... This phone retails for $269.99 and is, currently, on sale for $199.99 - still pricey. Well, here is the deal all of you sophisticatedly green moms have been waiting for.... it is $49.99 for Border's Rewards members! That is a savings of $220! Wow!

As a member, you receive savings on books and various websites such as: Restaurant.com, Omaha Steaks, Nordstrom and Lord & Taylor.com, as well and many, many more sites.
Other rewards programs I highly recommend are: Acme (you earn coupons off of Exxon Mobil gas, plus you can use it to get the sale price on in-store items), TGI Friday's Stripes program ( you receive coupons for free appetizers, money off your bill, buy one get one entrees, etc...), CVS (earn CVS dollars quarterly to redeem in-store), "r"Us (as in Toys "r" Us, and Babies "r" Us), DSW Shoes (Get a coupon for your birthday and earn DSW dollars) and Cutter's Mill (you receive emails frequently for in-store savings). All of these programs are free to join and you will see the rewards almost right away!
